The IMOPOL+ (iMobility and Police) project aims to target and comprehensively investigate the intelligent mobility concepts and their safety-critical effects in police-related applications to provide decision makers in the Ministry of the Interior (BMI, central needs support of the project) and the Road Safety Board (KFV, as necessary, support the based analyzes) as well as the ÖAMTC with strategy-relevant knowledge and practical analysis. In addition to the presentation of the state of the art of key technology concepts, an in-depth requirements gathering, together with the need for carriers (BMI, KFV, ÖAMTC), a thorough analysis of application-oriented software as well as practice-oriented hardware will be conducted. This process also involves an overview of existing solutions and a detailed examination of selected best practices. Following this, the project in conjunction with the police, will deliver a presentation and evaluation of possible safety-related application scenarios. After presentation of the central analysis and prioritization of common design, an overall strategy for dealing with current and future applications of iMobility in the police and security-critical environment will be determined. Thus, a framework for future decisions as well as medium to long-term software and hardware purchases (systems, applications, tools, components, etc.) will be prioritized.
